West Hampshire Clinical Commissioning Group (WHCCG) is delighted to announce that RESTORE2, an early warning system that helps care home to identify whether a patient is at risk of becoming unwell, has been shortlisted for the ‘System or Commissioner Led Service Redesign Initiative’ at the Health Service Journal (HSJ) Value Awards 2020.
RESTORE 2 is collaboration between a number of NHS partners, and works on the principles of ‘right care, right place, right time’ for care home residents, that helps staff decide if a resident is just ‘under the weather’ or becoming unwell and needs medical attention. RESTORE2 has been shown to decrease calls to the ambulance service and supports residents to stay at home.
The NHS partners are:
- Wessex Academic Health Science Network
- Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group
- Kernow Clinical Commissioning Group
The winners will be ahead of the HSJ Value Awards 2020 awards ceremony in Manchester on 21 May 2020.
